Tuition

Tuition fees are due on the 1st day of each month from September to May. A late fee of $25 will be added if tuition is not paid in full by the 10th of each month. Please make checks out to “Monica McCoy.”

Registration fees are non-refundable and payable upon application for enrollment. Registration is $25 for new students and $10 for returning students. Holidays, vacations or illness do not obtain a tuition refund.


A 30 day notice is needed should you decide to change your preschool enrollment.

*Failure to pay tuition will result in disenrollment.

Class Schedule

Drop Off- Please escort your child to the front door. The door will be open when class begins. Please no early arrivals.
During this time, toys, books and other table activities are available to the children.

Welcome-Children are welcomed and we discuss the calendar and say the Pledge.

Learning Time-We learn about a new letter of the alphabet, a number or a topic during this time.

Reading Circle-We read books about the topic of the week and discuss problem solving.

Snack-I provide a small snack during this time. (Crackers, juice, etc.)

Craft-Crafts/Projects relating to our topic are made.

Pick Up- Pick up will be promptly when class is scheduled to end. Children will be escorted to the front door. Parents are to meet the child at the door and escort them to the car. Parking is available to the North of the house. Please park on the road and not the driveway.

Transportation is to be provided by the student’s parents/legal guardian. Written consent must be given for Monica’s Mini School to allow a child to leave with anyone else.

ARIZONA STATE CAR SEAT LAW (ARS 28-907) states that a driver will be cited if he/she fails to properly secure a child under five years of age in a child restraint device that meets federal standards.  You are responsible for the safety of the children in your vehicle.

*Late Fee- Please be sure to pick your child up as soon as class is over. A first time offence will be given a warning, however subsequent late pick-ups will be charged with a late fee of $1 a minute. Should there be an emergency please call 623-975-2686.

Classroom Expectations

Children often will be using glues and paints. While we do our best to cover up, please do not send you child in his/her best clothing. 

Discipline-Should there be an issue of concern (e.g.  hitting, biting, throwing items, rude verbal outbursts and other disruptive behaviors) children will be addressed by any of the following:

*Removing the child from the situation
*Redirecting the child actions
*Comforting the child
*Helping to identify and resolve the problem

If the behavioral problem persists, I may request a parent/teacher conference. 

Potty training is a requirement to be considered for enrollment.

Lunch is not a part of school. Snacks will be provided by the school. Occasional sign-ups will be permitted for special occasions such as class parties.

Homework is not implemented. Occasionally worksheets will be sent home if a child needs further reinforcement on a task.  Please take the time to assist your child.

Health/Safety

Illness- Sick children should be kept at home for the good of the child as well as the other children in the class.  If your child has any of the following symptoms, we ask that you keep them home.


*Green, thick mucus discharge from the nose
*Current fever or an elevated temperature within the last 24 hours
*Diarrhea within the last 24 hours
*Vomiting – 2 or more episodes within the last 24 hours
  Matted eyes/pink eye/conjunctivitis until after                     medically treated and symptoms are gone
*Difficult or rapid breathing
 *Severe coughing that sounds croupy or whooping
 *Sore throat, especially when accompanied by fever or swelling

If your child becomes ill at school, you will be contacted to take your child home.  If you are unreachable, the emergency contacts will be attempted. 

*A child must be “symptom free” for 24 hours before returning to school.  Contagious diseases diagnosed in a child (chicken pox, strep throat, pink eye, etc.) should be reported to me ASAP.  Parents of the children will be notified in writing of the situation and precautions to take if necessary.

Emergency Contact Information forms will be provided and need to be completed before a child can attend class.

Emergencies will be handled as follows:

Minor injuries- Childrenwill be treated with First Aid and the child will be made comfortable.  If a child is inconsolable, parents will be called.  When appropriate, the child will remain in class and parents will be notified of the injury at pick-up.



Major injury/accidents- (seizure, broken bone or deep wound, etc).  Should there be an incident, an  immediate call to 911 will be made. Professional medical advice will be followed.  Parents or any emergency contact person(s) will be notified.


*I have been first-aid certified and know CPR.
 
I am not authorized to administer medication at school under any circumstances.  If medication is required please make arrangements accordingly.


** Children will be occasionally permitted to play outside when the weather permits. While they will be under constant supervision, injury that may come to a child will be the responsibility of the parent unless there are proven unusual circumstances. If you do not feel comfortable with your child playing outside, please let me know in writing.
